Jewish Memorial Museum of Târgu Frumos

The JEMOM 1.0 initiative aims to protect and preserve the Jewish Cemetery in Tărgu Frumos, which is in an advanced state of decay, and to create a digital Jewish Memorial Museum.

The long-term action plan (2021-2028) includes steps for education, documentation, restoration, transformation into a memorial museum and continuous education through events and exhibitions, culminating in its recognition as a historical monument. The open-air Jewish Memorial Museum in Targu Frumos is a way of expressing compassion for the Jewish community and regret for the Holocaust in Romania.
